Abstract

describe the management of patient handover implementation by nurses in inpatient wards. This study employed a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and observation sheets from nurses working in inpatient wards. The data obtained were then analyzed univariately and presented in the form of a frequency distribution to describe the characteristics of the respondents and the implementation of patient handover. The results showed that nurses were predominantly young adults, mostly female, and had sufficient experience in nursing care. The implementation of patient handover by nurses was generally considered adequate. This indicates that handover activities have been implemented, but improvements are still needed to ensure compliance with nursing service standards and support improved service quality and patient safety in the hospital.
